Selamat Tinggal Malaysia

After a two hour flight from Sabah to Kuala Lumpur, we’re here at the airport waiting for our flight home to Calgary. We are a little bit concerned with the weight of our luggage. Ellen picked up a lot of pewter and wooden carvings (I don’t know what it is with her and fertility goddess!!!). Luis is trying to sneak in some local booze which is all packed in his checked luggage; he’s on his own for this leg! Since were waiting in the airport, we decided to play a little game called “what are you going miss the most about Malaysia”. Ellen’s number one was of course the food, Luis’s was by no surprise the booze and mine was the yoga on the beach (I will soooo miss that).

Malaysia is the Melting-pot of the orient and one of the fastest growing countries in Asia. We definitely won’t forget the hospitality of this wonderful country, the locals were great and everyone was more than willing to help us out in any way they could. This country has a promising future; we can’t wait to come back! Till next time Malaysia…

Selamat tinggal (Goodbye) and selamat jalan (Bon voyage)
