For the last couple days we have been here on fantastic Langkawi Island. Our hotel has this incredible spa which offers complimentary yoga multiple times a day. So needless to say I jumped on that and dragged the others with me. To be fair I only took them to beginner yoga, I’m really regretting that now after all the complaining I heard. I should have woken them up at 6:00 am for Sunrise yoga, next time.
This morning we decided to treat ourselves to a little bit of luxury and venture into the spa. Opting for massages Ellen and I picked the traditional Urut Melayu massage wanting to experience a traditional local Urut Malay massage. It has been handed down from generation to generation as a thorough effective medium to firm pressure treatment. We even got to choose which herbal oils we wanted, it was sooooooo relaxing.
In true Luis style he came with us but picked a different type of treatment called a Sychronised massage. His response when we informed him we were going to the spa was “I want a massage too, why would I miss getting rubbed down by hot girl's?” And girl’s plural is key! The Sychornised massage is a dual massage performed by therapist's in harmony on one guest. Apparently “The combined healing powers of aromatherapy and touch create the ultimate massage experience and sensory indulgence”. They say this is something everyone should try at least once. You’d have to ask Luis about that.
Life on the island here is really about rest and relaxation. I don’t want to go. I LOVE IT!!!
