It’s time to get pampered and relax. We are here at this little piece of lost paradise in Malaysia. It’s called the Langkawi Island, which is technically an archipelago. The amount of islands can vary from 104 to 99 islands, and that depends on the tide, pretty cool isn’t it?! However, we are staying at the main town of Kuah which is the islands administrative area. Langkawi is well known for its breathtaking resorts and some Hollywood credit as well. The movie Anna and the King with Jodie Foster was filmed there, but it is supposed to portrait Thailand. The Thai wouldn’t allow the filmmakers to shoot the film in Thailand, so they turned to their neighbor Malaysia.

Enough of the facts let me make you guys feel jealous to your bones! In this portion of our trip we are allowing ourselves to spend a bit more of money for some deserved comfort and luxury. We are staying at the Four Seasons Langkawi which is a 5 star resort in the north shore of the island. We didn’t want to fly there because we wanted to have more of a feel for the culture, so instead we decided to take the Ferry. That means us spending extra $20 RM which is around $7 CAD but at the same time we can benefit of the amazing views of the Andaman Sea and the Langkawi Islands of course.

Our resort is everything you would ever want in a resort, and to tease you al little bit more, I made sure to put this picture with the view of our bathroom door(don’t cry…) just so you guys can have an idea of how sad we probably are right now! From Kuah to our resort it only took us about 20 minutes, but we enjoyed the cab ride taking even more pictures! The girls couldn’t wait to hit the spa (what else is new) and I didn’t even unpack, just took off my shirt, my flip flops and ran straight to that bright blue ocean. I have to admit though that the bikinis here are far from what we have back home (Brazil) but after a couple of beers (only $1.50 RM less than 50cents CAD) it all started to look better and better! We decided for a resort experience because we didn’t want to keep moving around, just stay at the beach, be lazy, and get spoiled!

The whole resort is influenced by an exotic Moorish style, hot tubs in the rooms, 2 infinity pools that look like they are spilling onto the beach. All the dining venues face the beach and the cocktails are served in Turkish water pipes. There are so many features and details that it’s so hard to even describe them all! As you can tell, there is free wireless internet, and I just took a little bit of time here to update you guys of our adventures. Sadly (tears in my eyes…) I have to leave here because I have a massage scheduled in 5 minutes in one of the spa villas, I have no idea where the girls are, but I am pretty sure I might bump into them getting some sort of crazy spa treatment where fishes nibble at your dead skin while you are in a hot tub, go figure these girls! Well, I will catch you later, because I can’t be late!

See you!

Man you guys go to a lot of spas!

Great descriptive blogs, oh yeah, you did make us "jealous to our bones".

Since the islands can vary 104-99, do you know when the maximum amount of islands appear?
